Plant microbiome response during infection: the clubroot case

Canola (Brassica napus), a key Canadian oilseed crop, suffers major losses from clubroot disease caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae. Current controls face resistance breakdown, prompting interest in microbiome-based solutions. While research has focused on roots, the phyllosphere remains understudied. This project investigates leaf microbiota to develop sustainable strategies for clubroot management.
