Oussama Yahmi
PhD Student
Hi there, I am a PhD student at Université Laval and a research enthusiast in the field of plant–microbe interactions, working in the Leducq Lab under the supervision of Jean-Baptiste Leducq and the co-supervision of Edel Pérez-López. My research focuses on the canola microbiome's response to clubroot infection. I began my career as an agronomic engineer specializing in plant production and yield improvement. However, my everlasting curiosity and passion for research led me to earn the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship to study Plant Health Science at various European universities.
My main goal and career objective is to contribute to global food security by leveraging my expertise to conduct impactful research and develop more sustainable solutions for managing plant pests and diseases.
