Undergraduate Student
Hi! Having recently earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Université Laval, I am now pursuing a master’s degree in plant biology in the Leducq Lab. After a first summer internship in 2025 as part of Oussama Yahmi’s doctoral project, which focused on canola’s response to clubroot, I am now beginning my own master’s project under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Leducq and the co-direction of Russell Tweddell. My work focuses on the soil microbiology involved in the natural suppression of Christmas tree root rot caused by Phytophthora abietivora. My main objective is to deepen my understanding of the plant microbiome and its potential in microbiological control of phytopathogens, in order to contribute to scientific research on this topic and find tangible solutions for Christmas tree growers in Quebec.
My main goal and career objective is to contribute to global food security by leveraging my expertise to conduct impactful research and develop more sustainable solutions for managing plant pests and diseases.
